Pasta and Potatoes!

Pasta and Potatoes contains songs for March but with a twist and a rebellion!

I joke that I married into a big Irish family, 23 in the immediate family and counting. So I get to hear my father-in-law Lou sing Irish songs all year long. So I am sick of the songs by the time March rolls around. I joke to my audiences that I refuse to sing all Irish songs during St. Patrick’s month of March. And guess what? These songs are harder to sing than most. (continued below)

Pasta and Potatoes

  1. It’s a Great Day for the Irish
  2. Dear Ol Donegal
  3. My Wild Irish Rose
  4. Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime
  5. Venus
  6. Harrigan
  7. Danny Boy
  8. McMilligan’s Ball
  9. I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen
  10. Angelina / Zooma Zooma
  11. That’s Life
  12. The Unicorn Song
  13. Too-Ra-Loo-Ra-Loo
  14. Volare
  15. And I Love You So
  16. I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover
  17. When Irish Eyes Are Smiling / Goodbye Johnnie Dear

So I rebelled and said that in March I am going to do
some Irish and some Italian or as I call it my “Pasta and Potatoes” program. The Irish songs are easy to pick out. The Italian songs are not necessarily Italian but done by my favorite contemporary Italian singers.

So you have “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime” (Dean Martin); “Venus” (Frankie Avalon);”Angelina/Zooma Zooma” (Louie Prima); “That’s Life” (Frank Sinatra); “Volare” (Bobbie Rydell); “And I Love You  So” (Perry Como). Enjoy!
