Paul is a strategic communications consultant focusing on aging and public policy areas. He served two terms as Commissioner on Aging in Montgomery County, Maryland, helping the county gain recognition by the World Health Organization as an age-friendly community. In the 1980s, he was instrumental in the establishment of the Alliance for Aging Research. He also authored, Will You Still Treat Me When I’m 65? And Medical Never-Never Land: Ten Reasons Why America is Not Ready for the Coming Age Boom, two landmark reports on discrimination of older people by the medical establishment. As a consultant, he has worked for the nation’s most prominent health and aging organization’s including AARP, Pfizer, Johnson& Johnson, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Commonwealth Fund, the W.K.
