Peter is a thirty-year caregiver for his wife, Gracie, who lives with severe disabilities. He understands the journey. His weekly show, HOPE FOR THE CAREGIVER, is syndicated on more than 200 stations. An accomplished martial artist, Peter recently earned a 2nd Dan (degree) black-belt in Hapkido. The martial art provides many self-defense life lessons that Peter incorporates into his show and speaking. In addition, Peter is the author of several books including, HOPE FOR THE CAREGIVER and 7 Caregiver Landmines and How You Can Avoid Them. A pianist for fifty years, Peter recently released his new CD, Songs for the Caregiver. Peter and Gracie live in Nashville, TN, where he also serves and the president and co-founder of Standing With Hope.

Erika is host of Nourish Senior Life and a franchise owner at Comfort Keepers. She was born in Colombia South America and was introduced to the senior population by her own family and in specific her grandmother who was the primary, 24hr caregiver to her grandfather that had advanced Parkinson’s. As a young person she recognized the desire to help seniors in need and in particular the 24hr caregivers that had limited support and resources. She step-stoned her way to a great career in assisted living and home care. Connie was educated at Johns Hopkins, Montclair State and New York University, and she obtained her PhD in 2004 from Lynn University. Her broad background in healthcare and dedication to diminishing caregiver struggles led to the 1998 establishment of a nonprofit organization which has transformed itself to become what is now the American Association for Caregiving Youth (AACY), headquartered in Boca Raton, FL. AACY includes the Caregiving Youth Project of Palm Beach County and the Caregiving Youth Institute. AACY integrates healthcare, education and the community (body, mind and spirit) to provide a strong foundation for the youth and their families.
