Greg Whitt is an award-winning teaching artist using music to share old world ideas about happiness, relationships, and wellness.  He leads interactive learning programs to creatively connect people in ways that are joyful, engaging, and good for you.  When you join in, you’ll feel more vibrant, more relaxed, and more connected to others and to the world around you.

With a graduate certificate in Transformative Leadership from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, his programs are actually applied philosophy about how we can live, work, and play well together in community; only they’re cleverly disguised as music, and they’re delivered as interactive and engaging fun.

These programs highlight old world values that serve as positive examples for healthy, happy, and productive lifestyles for modern society. As a facilitator he works to strengthen connections to these timeless principles.  As an educator, he teaches how we can do this in partnership with the ancient wisdom traditions of the world.

Greg Whitt is a past-president of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild. He has been awarded three competitive arts grants for professional development: two to study music of the African diaspora in the Caribbean (Cuba 2011 and Belize 2015), and one for specialized equipment to work in healthcare settings (2018). Prior to launching D4C in 2009, he spent ten years working in event planning at NC State University and eight more in the US Air Force.

Greg digs hammocks, thrift shops, mid-century modern design, stand up paddle boarding, Vespa scooters, vintage hi-fi, iPhone photography, and great stories. He enjoys travel for cultural exploration.  Greg likes ethnic food and great coffee.  When he’s really still and quiet, he sometimes manages to write interesting narratives and a bit of poetry.

Greg’s happy place is near the sea, surrounded by great music, his sweetheart Annelies nearby, and a tasty beverage in hand.
