Giving Thanks!

Giving Thanks contains songs for November. No fancy theme, just gratefulness for those in my life. Read all about it below.

November is truly a time to give thanks for all the blessing in your life. Here is what I am thankful for. I am thankful to the creator for all he has given me – How Great Thou Art. I am thankful for good health – Button Up Your Overcoat (take good care of yourself you belong to me!) and Feeling Alright. I am thankful for my mother who has stood by me Through the Years. My wife Kathy is simply unbelievable. I continue to be Amazed by her. My dad passed on many years ago but his spirit is what has propelled me forward. He is The Wind Beneath My Wings. I am grateful for our three children who have grown into responsible adults – You Are The Sunshine of My Life. I am grateful for my friends – I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends. (continued below)

I am grateful for this country we live in and for the troops that protect it especially as Veterans’ Day is celebrated this month – God Bless the U.S.A. I am grateful for being able to dream, wish and hope – Daydream Believer (Peter Noonan of the Monkees has a birthday this month too!) and The Rainbow Connection. I am grateful that The Best Things in Life Are Free. I am grateful that we live in a diverse country where Everything is Beautiful. For an appropriate segue, November 13th is World Kindness Day. Certainly What the World Needs Now (is love sweet love). Here are some Thanksgiving tie ins. It is the busiest travel time of the year so you can travel by train – Chattanooga Choo Choo or by plane – Leaving on a Jet Plane. However you go, Happy Trails to you as Roy Rogers has a birthday in November. Many end up Downtown (Petula Clark has a November birthday) in New York New York for the Macys Thanksgiving Parade. Enjoy!
