Valerie Peterson – Author, Book Lover, Publisher and Advisor to Authors ContentMeant.bi For more than 15 years, Valerie Peterson held marketing leadership and acquisitions sign-off positions within major book publishers (Random House, Doubleday, Wiley). The author / co-author of four traditionally published books, Valerie inaugurated and for six years ran the digital Book Publishing site for TheBalanceCareers.com, in charge of all publishing content. She’s written for the Washington Post, the New York Times, and national magazines and has received recognition for her screenplays, teleplays and short films. Because she is a creator herself, through her consultancy, ContentMeant.biz, Valerie is dedicated to combining her strategic and digital marketing skills with her broad, deep and hands-on book publishing knowledge to help writers understand what it takes to successfully publish and help their books find an audience. Valerie is a graduate of Fordham University (B.A. English) and holds a film and TV directing certificate from NYU-SPS. Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, she now lives in Manhattan.
