Our Friday Song of the Week – Woodstock – Mr. Tambourine Man
After seeing Santana in Charlotte my wife and I were inspired to have a Woodstock party. Not taking my duties lately, I found the Woodstock lineup and all the songs that were performed. I took it upon myself to try to learn at least one or two songs from each artist at Woodstock in the order of appearance. Some artists or songs were so obscure that I had to skip them or I simply did not know the songs. For some artists I didn’t care for the songs that they did at Woodstock so I did another one of their songs that they made famous after Woodstock. I figured it was only appropriate to rehearse in my garage and to tape the rehearsal as opposed to going into my more polished studio and hooking up everything to my sound system on my computer. So what you’re seeking and hearing is my replication of our version of Woodstock complete with the garage band feel, me in jeans and a T-shirt and unshaven. Please pardon the surroundings, but I thought it would add some authenticity, but I hope you enjoy the songs. So here’s one by Melanie from Day 1 called Mr. Tambourine Man.

We welcome Michelle Cameron Bozeman to the Caregiver Smile Summit. She is the Executive Director of HeartWaves Institute. Michelle takes her visionary perspective and blends it into understandable and practical applications. Michelle is known, locally, nationally and internationally for her work and perspective on health and wellness.
Her wonderful career has included her role as co-founder and assistant Director of Healing Solutions in the Office of Patient Experience at Cleveland Clinic. Here she was responsible for creating and implementing programs that focused on the delivery of integrative healing services to patients, families and employees at point of service within the hospital setting.
As a practicing holistic nurse, Michelle’s passion and enthusiasm for wellness has been evident throughout her career. She has successfully created and developed numerous cutting-edge, outcome-driven, integrative health and wellness initiatives. As a Program Manager and Health Coordinator at Cleveland Clinic, she created nationally recognized nursing wellness and national health promotion programming. She also owns her own company, HeartWaves Institute,which has, among many other services, provided regional education and support programming for family caregivers. She has served as an educator and technical consultant for Lakeland Community College and Director of Home Care Services for Lake County Health District, both in Ohio. Michelle was a staff nurse at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, Department of the Army in Ft. Riley, Kansas, where she received an outstanding civilian service award; and Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.
Michelle focused on the model of Be, Love, Do and how we are when we are doing our work is vitally important. “When we are clear, conscious and energetically vital, we are able to co-create nourishing, healing and supportive environments. We arrive, able to authentically hold our sovereign space in the creative circle and to fully participate in our life and our nursing practice” (Beginnings, Michelle Cameron Bozeman) her healing and calm energy inspires those around her to be the best they can be.
Michelle received her BS in Nursing from Kent State University in Ohio, is trained and board certified as a holistic nurse as well as a holistic coach, is a Reiki master, and is a certified instructor for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau.

Lakelyn serves as Gerontologist and Caregiver Advocate at the Global Headquarters of Home Instead Senior Care®. Lakelyn began her career at the local franchise working one-on-one with seniors and CAREGivers. Today at t he Global Headquarters, Lakelyn works to educate professionals in aging, families and communities on Home Instead’s services and how to navigate the unique challenges older adults face. Lakelyn is a doctoral student at the University of Nebraska – Omaha where she is studying Social Gerontology. She has a Master of Arts in Social Gerontology and Master’s in Business Administration from UNO. Lakelyn has professional experience in the private and public sectors of senior care services. She also values giving back to her community. Currently, serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Dreamweaver Foundation, that grants lifelong wishes for terminally ill older adults. She is also active in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Lakelyn has a passion for helping others, especially aging adults and their families.

Susan is participating in the Caregiver Smile Summit.
Susan Ostrowski has received two master’s degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University: one in Speech-Language Pathology and one in Remedial Reading. Susan has a keen interest in older adults living with dementia. The minimal resources available to older adults, and the all too common social isolation of this population, concern her deeply.
Unconvinced that people living with memory challenges lose their ability to read, Susan began several years ago exploring the relationship between dementia and reading. Her field studies have revealed that the automatic skill to read lies dormant and untapped in many seniors’ minds. With the help of a multi-disciplinary team, Susan developed a collection of adapted books, a methodology, and an organization (Reading2Connect) to bring reading back to older adults who struggle with reading typical books, newspapers, and magazines.
